Terms of service

Draft: company details are still missing and the text hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet.
These terms apply when you use TuneInspect, as a car owner or as a tuner. By creating an account or using the site you accept them. Please read them; they're written to be understood.
1. Who we are
TuneInspect is run by [company name] (org. no. [org. number]), [address], email [contact email]. In these terms "we" means TuneInspect and "you" means the person using the site.
2. What TuneInspect does
- Reads datalogs from your car's tuning or logging tool and calculates measurements, findings and charts.
- Offers an AI review that explains the calculated results in plain words.
- Offers a virtual dyno that estimates power and torque from a dedicated run.
- Connects car owners with independent tuners, who can review a report and offer tunes or services.
3. Analyses are guidance
The analysis, the AI review and the dyno figures are guidance, not a guarantee. They are calculated from what your log contains and can be wrong or incomplete, for example when channels are missing, the log is short or a sensor reads wrong. They don't replace an inspection by a qualified professional. TuneInspect never gives calibration instructions (like "add timing" or "raise boost").
Decisions about your car, its tune and how you drive it are yours. Stop driving and have the car checked if a finding or your own judgement says something is wrong.
4. Motorsport, the law and safety
- Modified engine software can affect emissions, road legality, insurance and the manufacturer's warranty. You are responsible for following the rules where you drive.
- Services on the platform are intended for motorsport and track use.
- Full-throttle runs for logging or the virtual dyno belong on a closed track or at a test day, never on public roads.
5. Your account
- You need to be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- Give a correct email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time under Account. It is closed straight away and can be reopened within 30 days; what happens to your data is described in the privacy policy.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and tell you why when we can. We may also send you messages about your account on the site.
6. Your logs and content
- Your logs, reports and messages stay yours. You give us the right to store and process them to run the service for you, for example to show your reports, run the AI review you ask for, or show a report to the tuner you ordered from.
- You also allow us to use the calculated results of logs analyzed on TuneInspect (not the log files, and not your messages) to improve the analysis, mainly in a form that can't be linked to you. How this works is described in the privacy policy.
- Only upload logs you have the right to share, such as your own car's or a customer's who has agreed.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't use your logs to train AI models.
- If you share a report with a link, anyone with that link can see it until you turn the link off.
7. Plans
- TuneInspect is free to use right now, with everything included. We may introduce paid plans later; if we do, we'll tell you in advance, and what's included in each plan will be listed on the pricing page.
- When paid plans are switched on, the price, billing period and how to cancel are shown before you pay. You can cancel at any time; the paid plan then runs until the end of the period you paid for.
- We may change what's included in a plan or its price. Price changes are announced at least 30 days in advance and apply from your next period.
8. The tuner marketplace
- Tuners on TuneInspect are independent businesses. When you order a review, a tune or a service, the agreement is between you and the tuner. The tuner is responsible for the work, and for following consumer law towards you.
- We check tuner applications before they appear, but we don't guarantee a tuner's work.
- Orders, messages and payments for work found through TuneInspect go through TuneInspect. Sharing contact details to make the deal elsewhere isn't allowed; the site hides phone numbers, emails, links and similar in messages.
- Ratings must be honest and about the order they belong to.
- If something goes wrong with an order, first talk to the tuner in the order. If you can't solve it, contact us and we'll help where we can.
9. For tuners
- You must run a registered business, or be allowed to sell the services you offer, and give true information in your application and profile.
- The price you show is the price the customer pays. TuneInspect keeps a platform fee of 10% of each order made through the site, including tunes and services the customer orders from your offers. The fee is shown in each order.
- Services you list on your profile must describe what the customer gets, at the price shown. The title and price are fixed in an order once it's placed.
- When delivering you can write a case summary. Sharing it is your choice; if you do, you allow TuneInspect to keep and use it anonymously, without your name, to improve the analysis for all users. You can stop sharing a case at any time.
- You can see a customer's report and attached log files only for orders you've received, and only to do the work. Don't copy them for anything else.
- The customer's identity and contact details are not shown to you, and you may not ask for them to take the deal outside the platform.
10. Not allowed
- Breaking the law, or uploading content you don't have the right to share.
- Trying to get around the plans, the platform fee or the contact-detail rules.
- Trying to read other users' data, overload the site or break its security.
- Copying the site's analyses in bulk or reselling them as your own service without our agreement.
11. Liability
We work to keep TuneInspect correct and available, but it is provided as it is, and it may sometimes be down or contain errors. We are not responsible for damage to cars or engines, lost races or results, or decisions you make based on an analysis, AI review or dyno figure. Nor are we responsible for the work a tuner does. Our total liability towards you is limited to what you paid TuneInspect during the last 12 months.
None of this limits rights you have as a consumer under Swedish or EU law, or liability that can't be limited by law, for example for gross negligence.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Important changes are announced on the site or by email at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using TuneInspect after that, the new terms apply; if you don't accept them, you can delete your account.
13. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies. If we can't agree, a consumer can turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, arn.se) or the EU online dispute resolution platform. Otherwise disputes are settled by a Swedish court.
14. Contact
